Annie Scheppach
M.S. & Certified Holistic Health Counselor
Annie experimented with yoga for the first time nearly nine years ago. She noticed subtle changes such as less muscle tension and pain in her body. During a Svaroopa Yoga class at the beach she thought, “I’m not doing anything; how can this be doing me any good”…and then the class was over and she glimpsed for the first time into the “bliss of her own being”. |
What a realization that the answers, the healing, and the gifts were not in the doing but in the being. It was easy to decide to take Svaroopa style yoga teacher training at the Master Yoga Academy in LaJolla, California with Rama Birch. Since 2000 she has taught in California and Northern Virginia. Annie loves inspiring her students softly and gently to open to the healing and transformation that they may be consciously or unconsciously seeking. Annie supports her students in releasing life long habits that no longer serve them. In 2005 she was certified as a Stillpoint Life Healing Coach and graduated as a Holistic Health Educator/Counselor from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
In addition to sharing her passion for yoga, Annie loves to guide individuals and corporate clients to make life style choices that will prevent and reverse chronic conditions, reach their ideal weight without counting calories, and become healthier and happier...in essence becoming their own best health insurance.

Testimonials:
"Thank you Masuda and Annie for a great week. I'm saving my pennies for next year already." Noni
"The week in Maya Tulum, Mexico was full of amazing surprises! From the moment I stepped onto the property and into my magnificent room, I instantly knew coming was the best decision I had made in a long time, which was reinforced many times throughout the week. To leave responsibilities behind and focus on yoga for a full week was the best gift I could have given myself. I really grew spiritually and emotionally! Thanks to Masuda and Annie it was an unforgettable and superb experience. Am so looking forward to next year! Jayme
"The Radiance Yoga retreat at Maya Tulum was simply fantastic. The morning and late afternoon yoga sessions provided a great way to start and end the day. The vegetarian meals were a nice chance to try a new way of eating. I loved the body work and signed up for more, more, more after the first session. In between, lots of free time to explore the ruins and read at the beach. I have never had a Caribbean vacation I enjoyed so much and look forward to next year. What a wonderful way to start the new year and make some new friends!" Jane
"I originally signed up for the yoga retreat with Radiance Yoga studio at Maya Tulum on the Yucatan peninsula as a way to celebrate several important milestones in my life. I expected to get some rest and relaxation while enjoying the sand and surf that one would expect to find on the coast of Mexico. What I didn't expect was the wonderful warmth of not only the staff who worked at the resort, but also the support, companionship and connection that I felt with those who attended the retreat. Between receiving wonderful instruction from both Masuda and Annie, the great amenities in the spa, the serene setting and fun accommodations, my vacation transcended every expectation. I am already looking forward to attending again next year. Thank you to all who made my stay very special." Pita
