“Without breath there is no yoga!” This saying emphasizes the importance of working with the breath in entering the deeper aspects of our practice.
Are you looking to take your yoga teaching to the next level, or do you want to connect deeper to your own yoga journey? If yes, this unique pranayama yoga teacher training is perfect for you. Develop a deep, thorough and dynamic understanding of pranayama and how to incorporate it in an authentic way into your yoga classes.
Pranayama is an essential practice on the yoga path as outlined by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutra. However, training in how and when to use appropriate breathing practices beyond Ujjayi is hard to find.
This unique Pranayama Certification was developed by Jafar Alexander to educate and share the following insight into Pranayama:
- Understand breathing mechanics
- Understand anatomy of breath
- Learn how to use and teach breath practices in asana
- Learn how to use breath practices in a contemplative practice-
- Learn how to skillfully incorporate pranayama into personal practice, group yoga classes and one-on-one settings
This workshop is open to yoga practitioners interested in deepening their yoga practice and yoga teachers looking to add a new skill set to their teaching toolkit.
To obtain a Beloved Yoga Pranayama Certification, you will need to take the full weekend course – 18 contact hours at Radiance Yoga, write a reflection, record a 10-minute led pranayama session, and a 30-min phone mentoring session (included in the tuition) with Jafar. If you choose to only take the weekend modules you will obtain 18 CEUs and will not receive the Certification.Apply here
