We recommend that international retreaters purchase travel insurance in case of any life situations that may alter your plans. You may consider plans from travelinsure.com, insuremytrip.com, or any other option provided by your credit card, airline or travel company. Also note that your health insurance may not provide coverage internationally. Check with your provider and consider additional coverage if necessary.
You must have a valid passport and no additional visa is required for residents of the United States unless you stay longer than 90 days.
There are many airlines flying into Osaka. KIX is the international Airport and ITM is for domestic flights only. If you are connecting in Tokyo (HND or NRT), you can fly into ITM, which is closer to the downtown area. You can also travel from Tokyo to Osaka by the bullet train.
If you have a few extra days to explore Japan you may want to visit other major cities like Tokyo and Hiroshima. Mt Fuji’s climbing season is from July until the beginning of September.Register
