Having no idea what to expect from yoga, Chrissy showed up to her first class in 2003 wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Sun salutations were uncomfortable in jeans, but the sense of calm she experienced in savansa was enough to convince her to keep coming back to the mat – wearing more forgiving clothing this time.
In 2011, Chrissy began attending classes as a student at Radiance Yoga, and later became part of the front desk staff team. Curious about the spiritual and philosophic aspects of yoga, Chrissy embarked on a most excellent RYT-200 Flow Yoga Teacher Training adventure at Radiance. She learned to cultivate a practice of self-compassion, mindfulness and patience, which she infuses into her yoga classes. Chrissy has since completed additional restorative and gentle yoga teacher trainings, and also participated in numerous workshops.
