Join Masuda and Angelina for an unforgettable trip to southern Spain where cities and towns offer multicultural architecture, excellent cuisine, history, and home to a celebratory culture full of festivals, flamenco dancing, tapas and sherry.
Suryalila, located in the heart of Andalusia, was nominated as one of the best yoga escapes by Yoga Journal in 2017. This beautifully renovated olive farm exudes a sense of vastness the minute you arrive: rolling hills, sunflower fields, and lakes in front of the Sierra de Grazalema mountain range, offer the perfect backdrop for deepening your yoga practice.
Offering daily morning Kundalini and flow yoga classes, evening meditation, restorative and yin yoga classes, our retreat is designed to energize, balance and heal the chakras. Chakras are energy centers in the body that affect our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. Two yoga workshops will be provided which can be used as continuing education credit for Yoga Alliance registered yoga teachers. Some students may choose to attend all the yoga and meditation classes/workshops for the week while others may only attend a few.
Suryalila has a rustic and family-style feel. With 45 Acres of working olive farm, beautiful courtyards, and cozy pagodas, you’ll feel right at home. Each room has Spanish farmhouse-style wooden ceilings with beams and terracotta tiled floors to blend harmoniously with the exotic Asian furniture and wall hangings. The designer decor is both soothing to the soul and delightful to the eye. Single rooms have a private bath. Double and twin rooms have shared bathrooms in the hallway. The four person dorm has one private ensuite bathroom for its occupants. Suryalila has a dedicated massage room with skilled massage therapists, and many gorgeous communal spaces like the salt water pool, as well as dining and living areas to just relax and hang out in. The retreat facilities include WiFi, office supplies and anything else you might need during your stay.
