PATRICIA JACUBEC

RYT 200

Patricia guides her classes with the intentions of encouraging her students to be embodied in their yoga and cultivating a sense of fun, joy, and gratitude. She came to a regular yoga practice a bit before the turn of the century thinking it would be good cross-training for other activities, especially skating (both inline and figure). It was, but of course it was so much more than just the pleasure of moving one’s body through space into shapes. She soon became enamored of the benefits of the way Yoga integrates mind, body, and breath.

Since then, she has practiced or studied a variety of yoga forms. Currently, her asana practice and preferred teaching style center on the physically slower, gentler forms of yoga, providing space for introspection and reflection. In addition to completing a 200-hour Holistic Yoga Teacher Training, she has completed more than 175 hours of Teacher Training in Yin Yoga and related modalities, plus advanced trainings in Yoga philosophy, Pranayama, Trauma Informed yoga, and Therapeutic/Restorative yoga. Patricia is currently an herbalist-in-training.
