Awaken Your Heart in Central America

February 7-14, 2026

Join Us for a Transformative Yoga Retreat at Villa Sumaya in Guatemala

Join Masuda and native Spanish speaker, Vilma for a heart-opening journey to one of the world’s most spiritually charged landscapes: Lake Atitlán, Guatemala. Cradled by three majestic volcanoes and twelve vibrant Mayan villages, the lake is often referred to as the “center of the universe.” Here, time slows down and every moment is infused with nature’s wisdom and ancient traditions.

A Retreat to Reconnect with the Heart

This retreat is an invitation to soften into love, compassion, and self-discovery. Daily yoga practices in Hatha, Kundalini, Gentle, and Restorative styles are complemented by breathwork and meditation designed to open the heart and restore inner balance.

Sacred Ceremonies & Cultural Immersion

Root your experience in sacred ritual with a traditional Mayan Fire Ceremony and a Heart-Opening Cacao Ceremony—beautiful practices that invite deep release and soulful connection. We’ll also explore the surrounding culture with two included excursions, giving you a taste of the artisan traditions, natural beauty, and warm hospitality of the local Mayan communities.

Nourish Your Body & Soul

Enjoy three fresh, vegetarian meals daily, made with love from local ingredients. Sip tea or coffee by the lake, float in the solar hot tub, or treat yourself to a healing session at Harmony Spa. Find restoration in every bite, breath, and moment of stillness.

Unwind in Natural Beauty

Villa Sumaya is an eco-luxury retreat center located in a quiet, boat-access-only village. Relax in a hammock, swim in the lake, enjoy a soak in the solar hot tub, or indulge in a treatment at Harmony Spa. Here, you’ll find the space to slow down, reflect, and return to what matters most.

Build Lasting Connections

Share moments of connected mindfulness and joy with fellow retreat participants, creating lasting friendships and a sense of community.
