300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training

Overview

This advanced training has been designed for those who have already laid their foundations in yoga and are ready to delve deeper into the advanced practices and teachings of yoga. The 300-hour program is intended for yoga teachers who have already completed a 200-hour training and are looking to take their knowledge and skills to the next level. Throughout this program, students will deepen their practice, explore both practical and subtle yoga techniques to enhance their teaching, and learn how to promote a greater mind-body-spirit connection in their classes.

Students must complete a total of 15 modules to fulfill their training requirements. Five of these must be core modules, selected from our offering of ten core modules. The remaining ten modules can be selected from any of our 25+ modules (core or elective), allowing students maximum flexibility and a fully tailored experience. Modules may be completed in any order. This training is suitable for all yoga teachers.

Understanding that not everyone is interested in pursuing the 300-hour track, but may be interested in some of the weekend workshops that we are offering as part of the curriculum, all modules are available as individual trainings and are open to all. Enrollment in Radiance Yoga's 300 Hour program is not a requirement to attend these advanced training workshops.

The Details

Our 300-hour yoga teacher training is designed to build upon and deepen the trainee’s understanding of the fundamental concepts of the practice and teaching of yoga that were taught at the 200-hour level. The core curriculum includes modules on Pranayama,Creative Alignment and Assists, Advanced Kundalini, Philosophy and History, Meditation, Functional Anatomy, Trauma Informed Yoga, Yoga Therapeutics and Workshop Design, allowing the student to progress on their unique track and expand their current skillset.

A minimum of 100 (5 modules) out of the total 300 hours are to come from the Core Modules listed below. The remaining hours are to come either from additional Core Modules attended and/or Electives.

The 300-hour training program at Radiance Yoga covers five Educational Categories:

1. Techniques, Training, and Practice: 50 hours minimum, with topics such as asanas, pranayamas, kriyas, chanting, mantra, meditation, and other traditional yoga techniques.

2. Teaching Methodology: 5 hours minimum, including communication skills, addressing the needs of individuals and special populations, and principles of demonstration, observation, assisting, and correcting.

3. Anatomy and Physiology: 15 hours minimum, covering human physical anatomy and physiology, including both the study of anatomy and its application to yoga practice.

4. Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle, and Ethics for Yoga Teachers: 30 hours minimum, with a deeper study of yoga philosophies and traditional texts, yoga lifestyle, ethics for yoga teachers, and the concept of teaching yoga as a service.

5. Practicum: 30 hours minimum, including practice teaching, receiving and giving feedback, and observing and assisting in teaching.

Students must complete the following:

A minimum 100 Hours of Core Required Modules: Students must select five Core Modules from a list of ten.

Minimum of 200 Elective Hours: Students must select ten Elective Modules from any of the 25+ offered modules (core or elective),  and complete all homework assignments and coursework, when applicable (no grading other than complete/incomplete)

Half of the modules will be offered each year, so the fastest students could complete their 300-level training is in two years.

All modules will be offered over weekends, with each weekend completing 20 hours (18 contact and 2 non-contact).

What is the 300-Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training?

It’s a modular, in-depth training for certified 200-hour teachers who wish to deepen their study, refine their teaching, and receive a 300-hour certification (500-hour RYT) through Yoga Alliance.

Do I need to complete the modules in a specific order?

Our program is modular and flexible. You can take modules in any order, as long as you complete all required hours and topics.

How long do I have to complete the program?

You have up to five years to complete your 300-hour certification with Radiance.

What if I have to miss part of a 300-Hour YTT module?

To receive full credit for the 18 contact hours, you must attend the entire weekend. We understand that sometimes unexpected conflicts arise.

If you need to miss a portion of a module, please reach out to the lead teacher to discuss possible make-up options. These may include written or practice assignments, or private sessions at an additional fee ($120/hour).

Make-up arrangements are subject to the teacher’s availability and cannot be guaranteed. If you need contact information for the teacher, please email yuki@radiance-yoga.net.

Who are the lead teachers for the program?

The lead teachers for the program are Angelina Fox,  Hari-kirtana das, Masuda Mohamadi, and Yuki Riley. You can read their bios alongside the modules they lead on the Advanced Trainings page.

Can I apply previously completed Radiance Yoga 20-hour modules toward my 300-hour certification?

Radiance Yoga may offer credit toward our 300-hour certification for select previously completed modules, based on the following criteria:

• Timing: The module was completed at Radiance Yoga within the past two years, and the student held a 200-hour yoga teacher certification at the time of completion.

• Sequence: If you take a module before officially enrolling in the 300-hour track, your training start date will be retroactively based on the date of that first eligible module.

• Content Alignment: The content of the module must align with at least 80% of our current 300-hour curriculum standards.

All credit requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us if you’re interested in applying prior training toward your 300-hour certification.

Can I receive credit toward the 300-hour training for previous trainings I’ve completed elsewhere?

No, only modules completed at Radiance Yoga will be considered.

Can I log my 300-Hour training modules as Continuing Education (CEUs) with Yoga Alliance?

Not exactly - Yoga Alliance does recognize your 300-hour training as continuing education in spirit, but their system doesn’t allow the same hours to count toward both CEUs and certification. Logging CEUs for individual modules could interfere with your 300-hour certification process.

What to do instead:

You can manually log your hours under “Training Hours” in your Yoga Alliance account for your own records. Here’s how:

• Log in at yogaalliance.org

• Go to your Teacher Dashboard → Add Hours under Training Hours

• Select “Taught by someone who is not a YACEP”

• Follow the prompts to input your module details

• Be sure to note that the training is part of your 300-hour certification program

• Click “Assert” and “Save”

This will keep your records accurate without affecting your certification down the line.

  • "Thank you for offering the 300 hour YTT at Radiance. I have enjoyed this wonderful learning experience and yoga journey.  The flexibility and variety of modules was much appreciated. It was the flexibility that gave me the confidence to start a 300 hr training. All the module topics engaged me and when my schedule did not permit me to attend I knew there would be other modules that I would be interested in. "

  • "Hari is extremely knowledgeable and he welcomed questions and discussion. The "how to give a dharma talk" was extremely helpful and a real way to apply this knowledge while teaching-this is not something other teachers have explicitly taught me to do! It was so helpful."
