Why should I practice at Radiance Yoga Studio?
We make the practice of yoga easy for students by creating a safe, beautiful, and serene space to breathe, stretch, relax, and renew. Our experienced and devoted teachers are committed to the individual needs and goals of our students. We offer over 50 classes a week at various hours to meet the demands of our students’ schedules. We offer many workshops on yoga, meditation, health and well-being, and creative living.
What is the difference between Kundalini and Flow/Vinyasa yoga?
Flow yoga is derived from Hatha yoga, which is the physical branch of yoga and focuses on the relationship between breath and movement. Flow yoga is a fluid series of poses linked together with the breath, allowing students to experience a deeper connection with their bodies and a great mind-body workout.
Kundalini, known as the yoga of awareness, uses breath, yogic postures, meditation, and chanting to strengthen overall health and well-being. The combination of yoga and meditation promotes emotional balance, mental clarity, and deeper self-awareness. Kundalini yoga is the yoga for change and transformation.
Why do we chant?
Most yogic chants are in either Sanskrit or Gurmukhi, both ancient languages of the yogis. The sound vibrations created during chanting stimulate pressure points in the mouth. These sound vibrations enhance a meditative state of mind and affect brain chemistry. Chanting is a powerful tool for combating negative thought patterns.
Which class should I take?
We recommend our 6-Week Beginners Flow Series as a great way to learn the basics and as a refresher for more experienced students. We also recommend trying different classes in order to find the class that is right for you. If you have a specific physical requirement or injury please call us for recommendations or ask any staff member at the studio. All classes have a drop-in option.

What should I wear?
For practice, we recommend wearing any comfortable clothing that won’t restrict your movement. Always take your shoes off and leave them in the shoe area when entering the studio.
Cell Phones
As a courtesy to your fellow students, we also ask that all electronics be silenced or turned off in the studios and that any necessary phone conversations take place in the hallway outside the studio doo
Valuables
In addition to the coat and shoe area, we also have cubbies in all of our practice spaces for small valuables (for example your wallet, keys, phone, etc.). We highly encourage you to use them, as Radiance cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items.
Arrival Time
We open our doors 15 minutes before the class starts. To make for smooth and on-time class start times, we only hold reservations up to 5 minutes before the start of class. So, to keep any reservations you’ve made, please be sure to check in at our front desk at least 5 minutes before class start time.
Waitlists
If your desired class is booked online, you can use our online reservation system to join an online waitlist. When a spot becomes available, you’ll be reserved automatically and notified via email.
Online Reservations
Online registration is required for all classes.
Late Arrivals
We will hold reservations up until 5 minutes before class start time. After this time, if there’s a waitlist for a full class, your reservation may be “gifted” to a fellow student who’s waiting. We cannot always accept late arrivals and will not allow entry 10 minutes after a class begins. If you do arrive late, please enter the studio quietly once the front desk has given you permission to do so.
Accessibility
The elevator is currently out of order, access is by stairs only. We apologize for any inconvenience that this causes.

Out of consideration for others and to ensure the safety of the student, individuals under the age of 14 will not be admitted into class. When attending kids/teens specific classes or workshops any student under 14 years of age must have a parent/guardian’s signature on the waiver.
